than 47,000 junior- and senior-high students from southern Ohio, northern
Kentucky and southeastern Indiana told all about substance use in their
schools.
Drugs of choice: Tobacco, alcohol and marijuana
Students in grades seven through nine doubled their use of tobacco,
and tripled their use of alcohol and marijuana.
Employed students increased substance use by 44 percent.
Teenagers involved in extracurricular activities, church groups and
home discussions report a 45 percent decrease in substance use.
