Herf & Associates Named Asset Builder

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Department of Education’s (ODE’s)
Resource Network for Safe, Drug-Free Schools and Communities today awarded
Herf & Associates the 2003 Asset Builder Award. Nominator Richard
Lopez, ODE deputy director, cited Herf & Associates for its contribution
to drug-free workplace consultation, training and support.
Martin Herf, president and CEO of Herf & Associates and Drug-Free
Solutions is a pioneer in the field of drug-free workplace consultation
and training. Herf’s training model, targeted to employers, their
employees and families, is gleaned from years of experience developing
drug-free workplace programming. Herf serves on the National Alliance
for Model State Drug Laws funded by the Office of National Drug Control
Policy in Washington, D.C. In addition, Herf was the principal architect
of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation’s Drug-Free Workplace
Program, for which he was nationally recognized.

for my contribution to drug-free education and training”, said Herf.
“Through workplace education and training, Ohio’s workers
are safer and their families and communities reap the benefits”.
The Asset Builder Award was established in 1997 to recognize prevention
and interventions greatest resource – people. The annual award
honors those individuals who have dedicated themselves to making a difference
through training and technical assistance to support safe and drug-free
schools and communities.
